How We Teach You to Be an Excellent Massage Therapist
We teach people how to perform a vast multitude of different massage strokes and techniques as well as to locate many of the major acupressure and trigger points in the body. We teach people to develop a rhythm with their massage, to work with the breath, to understand how one area of the body being tight and blocked will affect another.
An example
of this is a person may have tightness in their feet that makes their
back tight, or tightness in their belly which hold emotions and constricts
the person’s chi, and leads to headaches, dizziness or an overactive
mind. We teach people to deal with all of these conditions and so many
more and to produce a very powerful and deep massage that leaves a
person feeling like a lot of deep tension has left their body and mind.
Many people say they feel the best they have felt in years after receiving
a massage from a graduate of our massage school.
We do NOT emphasize anatomy, nor do we say it is wrong to study it, merely that it is one way of looking at the body from a culture with a very new found appreciation of massage as compared to Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine which is ancient and has been practicing massage for millenniums. (Safely without regulation and state/national massage boards trying to control them).
